Aberdeen Above $300,000
The town of Aberdeen was created by Edmund Law Rogers in 1852. Its name originated from its mother city, Aberdeen, Scotland. Today, the town of Aberdeen, located in eastern Harford County is made of three different communities-Hall's Cross Roads, Mechanicsville, and The Village of Aberdeen.
Aberdeen is the home of the U.S. Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground, which is the current headquarters of the U.S. Army's Test and Evaluation Command. It is also home to the Aberdeen Ironbird's, a minor league baseball team that plays at Ripken Stadium.
Due to the ever-expanding employment growth at the Proving Grounds, Aberdeen has experienced tremendous growth in its housing over the last several years. Over the next several years, this is expected to increase dramatically as the US Department of Defense realigns various activities from bases throughout the country to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, thus providing an influx of new employment and new demand for housing to the area.
